Visited Kellys Bar when we arrived in Cobh on the Independence after our fellow New Yorkers had described it as “the place to be”. We weren’t dissappointed…….great “crack” as the Irish would describe it. We were also lucky enough to be served by the owner himself…..I think my wife Judith would of been happier if he had returned on the Independence with her rather than me…..must be said though the pub rounded off an overall great trip to a truly great Island…hope to return again, thanks Tom!!!

I was at Kelly’s Pub in 2008 around the end of April and my husband - along with some friends - and I were looking for a pub on a Sunday afternoon and we stumbled into Kellys. All I can say is that I had the GREATEST 5 hours of my life! We watched “Hurling” and my definition of “Hurling” and their definition were 2 totally different things! I got instructions on how to Hurl and I also met the most beautiful man in Ireland. His name was Daniel and he had beautiful blue eyes! How dreamy. The Guiness - of course - was MUCH MUCH better than the Guiness in the states. The people in the pub were truly memorable. I hope to one day go back and visit my new friends of Ireland. Thank You, Kelly’s for making my trip so memorable.
